WHY DON'T WE OFFER ENGRAVING, REFINISHING, OR CUSTOM FINISHES?  To those who DO offer it and to those who want it, I mean no disrespect!  I respect these craftsmen a great deal and I love an engraved gun as much as the next person, but that's not what we're about.....  We don't produce "Safe Queens", our revolvers are "Performance Kings"!

Our custom-firearms company has provided a variety of performance-oriented gunsmithing services for over 3 decades. We possess a vast amount of experience in the custom gunsmithing field. We offer Proven Performance Services (some of which are patented) developed through years of innovation and research. Revolversmithing is our specialty at HEFFRON PRECISION©. Precision accuracy and precision mechanisms combine to create this company's obsession.  Since 1989 we have offered many services for many products.  We have tailored our services to our customer's needs.  This has landed us squarely within the CUSTOM REVOLVER and REVOLVER REPAIR business.  Our largest volume services have always been associated with Colt Revolvers.  Overwhelming customer demand has directed our attention to that field exclusively.  Our knowledge in this area is unsurpassed.  All performance oriented custom work is designed and executed using a design engineering approach.  Our work stands the test of time.  We have Performance Tuned Smith & Wesson and Dan Wesson revolvers for the same length of time, but due to my personal love for the Colt Revolver, Heffron Precision© pushes the performance envelope in this area.  Our tuned revolvers are different than the others out there.  We deliver superior operation in areas typically overlooked by our competitors.  We create solutions rather than band aids. 

HEFFRON PRECISION©: More Detailed Custom Service Explanations

Our custom trigger and action tuning services have all been designed by a Mechanical Engineer (myself), then fine tuned on AutoCAD, and extensively prototyped.  All custom trigger and action services must have proven durability through 120,000 - 150,000 dry fire cycles during the prototyping phase.  Here is an overview of the revolvers we service:

-Colt Old Series Double-Action Revolvers.  Small Frame 1895 and Later (ending with the Detective Special in 1995), Medium Frame 1908 and Later (ending with the old series Python Elite in 2005), Large Frame 1898 and Later (ending with the New Service in 1942).  All will have a CLOCKWISE ROTATING cylinder.

-Colt 1873 Single-Action Army and Associated Offspring - We Also Service Scout, New Frontier, and Peacemaker Single-Action Rimfire Revolvers.

-Colt Coil Spring Mechanism Double-Action Revolvers - J Frame MKIII (ending with Trooper MKIII in 1983), V Frame MKV (ending with Trooper MKV in 1985), AA Frame (ending with old series King Cobra in 1998), MM Frame (ending with old series Anaconda in 2003).

-Colt New Series Double-Action Revolvers Since 2017 - Small Frame (Cobra, Viper, and King Cobra), Medium Frame (Python and Grizzly), Large Frame (Anaconda and Kodiak) with RA, VR, PY, PB, GZ, AC, and KD  Serial Number Prefixes.

Our work is second to none!  We can repair any of these firearms with ease due to our part-fabrication capabilities and parts networking.  We offer the finest in custom performance tuning because we have engineered every service we offer.  Careful engineering, Computer Aided Design, and extensive experience with revolvers combine to create an end product of unsurpassed performance and value.    Consequently, some of our services are unique by nature, but they provide you with much more performance than you paid for. I take care of the final-stage revolversmithing, design work, and "pointing the cane".  My wife Tammy takes care of workplace efficiency with her experience within the Manufacturing Engineering field, paperwork, shipping, and receiving.  She's even been known to answer an email or two!  We have terrific employees who are highly skilled machinists and they're as good as it gets when it comes to parts prep and revolver servicing.  They make parts, fit parts, and on the custom revolver work they prep the internal revolver parts so I can perform the final fitment, finishing, and assembly (they are HIGHLY skilled and we affectionately refer to them as "The Wrecking Crew").  We have literally tuned several thousand Colt revolvers over the years.  We are a family-operated company that can hold its head high in this competitive industry.
